Crop PDF — Tidy Up the Margins
Scans often keep a black border from the copier, and academic papers can have margins so wide that the text is tiny on a tablet. Cropping narrows the visible area of each page to fix that.
Cropping only rewrites the page box values in your browser. Page content is not re-encoded and the file never leaves your device.

This tool changes the CropBox (the visible area) and leaves the MediaBox (the actual page size) alone. The trimmed content therefore still exists in the file and can be restored — which also means this does not remove anything.
How to use

Choose your PDF
Pick the document and a preview of the first page appears.

Enter the margins
Type how much to trim from each edge in mm or pt. The preview shows the remaining area as a dashed outline.

Choose the scope and save
Apply to every page, only the page in the preview, or only pages matching its dimensions.

In a document mixing A4 and Letter, you can crop only one of the two.
Reversible by design
Because only the CropBox changes, clearing the crop in another editor brings the original area back.
Validated before saving
If the margins would leave nothing visible, the tool stops you before you save.
Limits of this tool
- Content is not removed. The trimmed area stays in the file and can be recovered — delete the page instead if the content is sensitive.
- Different margins for different pages need separate runs.
- Rotated pages are measured in their rotated state, so straighten them first if the result surprises you.

Crop a wide-margin paper so the text fills more of the screen.
Tidy exported slides
Remove the white band left when slides are exported to PDF.
